The rules of grief

Grief is best compared to a roller coaster. There will be ups, downs and everything in between.

It’s not uncommon for somebody to see a therapist to learn how to deal with grief. But something that comes up often is people questioning whether or not they are coping the right way.

There will be times that you are:

happy and happy that you’re happy

happy and sad that you’re happy;

sad and happy that you’re sad

sad and sad that you’re sad.

None of these are wrong. Remember that there simply are no rules and trust your brain to work through the process.
