What type of clients do you see?
We offer counseling and therapy services to adults, adolescents and children with social anxiety, depression, addiction issues, stress management concerns and trauma. We also see clients who don’t have any formal diagnosis as we believe that anybody looking to learn more about themselves and grow can benefit from seeing a therapist. Whatever the reason is, we look to provide you with results. (see more about our approach here ).
In addition to our therapy practice, we offer in-person, online and telephone life coaching services. We provide these services to business professionals, athletes and other high-achievers who are looking to maximize their potential, enhance their performance and improve their relationships. Life coaching is also beneficial for those looking to learn how to better navigate the world of dating and interpersonal relationships. We strive to provide our clients with rapid results and tangible change.
Our office is located in Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, but many of our clients come from Center City and the surrounding Philadelphia area (Bryn Mawr, Main Line, Villanova, Wynnewood, etc.)
What type of therapy do you provide?
We take what’s called an eclectic approach to therapy. What that means is that we believe that no single modality will work for every individual that comes to us, as everybody’s process of achieving results with a therapist will look different. We pull concepts and modalities from:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (https://www.simplypsychology.org/cognitive-therapy.html)
Solution-Focused Therapy (https://www.goodtherapy.org/learn-about-therapy/types/solution-focused-therapy)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapy-types/dialectical-behavior-therapy)
Mindfulness (https://www.mindful.org/meditation/mindfulness-getting-started/)
Person-Centered Therapy (https://www.goodtherapy.org/learn-about-therapy/types/person-centered)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapy-types/acceptance-and-commitment-therapy).
What do I need to know about seeing a therapist?
Seeing a therapist doesn’t need to be an intimidating process or a long-term commitment. If you’re thinking about it, chances are it can be helpful to you.
Clients tell us all the time that they waited to come to us because…
“I wasn’t sure if my problems were serious enough”
“I thought I’d be able to cope on my own”
“I didn’t understand how talking about it with a stranger would help”
Ultimately, they tell us they’re happy that they reached out to us when they did! https://www.dinovitzcounseling.com/testimonials (check out our reviews on Google too!)
When you get in touch with us, you’ll be talking directly to a licensed therapist so feel free to reach out and ask us any questions you might have about the process! https://www.dinovitzcounseling.com/contact
